Nicola Cotugno is Country Manager of Enel Brasil since October 2018. Born in Italy, he holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Rome and executive education at INSEAD Business School of Fontainebleau (Paris) and MIT of Boston.
With 27 years of experience in the power sector, Cotugno spent the last 14 years working as an expatriate in countries from Europe and Latin America. The executive was Country Manager of Enel Chile from 2016 to 2018 and Country Manager of Slovenske Elektrarne – the Enel Group subsidiary in Slovak Republic - from 2015 to 2016.
He joined the Group in 1991 in the generation business, where he covered different leadership positions until 2000, when he passed to Energy Management area. He was then responsible of Energy Management in Viesgo (Spain) and later on in Slovenske Elektrarne (SK), where he also took the responsibility of generation area from 2013 to 2014.
Cotugno served in international Boards of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and Eurelectrics.
