Abel Rochinha has been in the Enel group since April 2004. He has served as CFO of Enel Distribuição Rio, Enel Brasil and Enel Distribuição Ceará, Head of Infrastructure and Networks and currently is the President Director of Enel Distribuição Goiás.
Abel has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and started his career in 1986 as a consultant at Andersen Consulting. He then worked as Production Manager at White Martins from 1987 to 1990, and later held several positions at Lojas Americanas, including Controller and Vice President for Finance, where he stayed until 1996.
He also worked at GP Investments, as CFO for ALL (railways) and for MCOMCAST (telecommunications) and as a consultant for the acquisition of new businesses. From 1999 to 2002 he was Financial Vice-President and CFO at Vesper. From 2003 to April 2004 he acted as CFO for the Brazilian American Auto Group, where he participated in the group’s operational, financial and tax restructuring.
