José Luis Salas is an Electrical Engineer with a degree from Universidad Rafael Urdaneta (Venezuela) specialized in Electric Distribution Networks with an MBA and Public Business Administration and Finance. Since September 2019, he has been the Head of Enel Grids Goiás, where he is responsible for coordinating the plan for investment and improvements in the distribution network, with strategies to leverage the digital environment and improve the energy system, focusing on the customer, security culture and reduction of commercial losses.
With a career of 24 years, Salas has 17 years of experience in the power industry. He has held strategic positions in companies in Venezuela and Brazil. For ten years, he served as a consultant for major companies, including Vale and Petrobras. Before joining the Enel Group, he executive worked for eight years at Eletropaulo, currently Enel Distribuição São Paulo.
