- Most Sustainable Company of the Year by the publication Guia Exame Sustentabilidade 2018 (Exame Sustainability Guide 2018).
- Enel received two awards from Exame magazine: The Most Sustainable Company in the Electric Sector and the Most Sustainable Company in Brazil. Massive investment in renewable energy sources, constant concern about climate change and the development of more than 250 projects for income generation, energy efficiency, education and recycling have led the company to receive this recognition.
- Citizen Enterprise – January 2017
Enel Brasil was recognised as a Citizen Enterprise for the quality of the financial and socio-environmental information presented, transparency and demonstrating international sustainability directives applied to the company’s routine. The evaluation is made across the country and the title is awarded by the Regional Accounting Council (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade, CRC – RJ), in partnership with Fecomércio – RJ, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ) and Sistema Firjan.
- Quirino Campofiorito Award – January 2017
Carlo Zorzoli, Enel Brasil country manager, was given the Quirino Campofiorito Award. The prize is directed to those who contribute to the development of the arts in the country. The award is due to the sponsorship and support of the “San Sebastiano” exhibition in 2015 by Enel Green Power.
- National Innovation Award – June 2017
Enel Brasil won in “Innovation Management”, main category in the National Innovation Award 2017. This prize is the most important recognition in Brazil of promotion of innovation in the business sector. The event is organised by the National Industry Federation (Confederação Nacional da Indústria – CNI) and by the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Companies (Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas – Sebrae).
- Abradee Award – June 2017
For the sixth time, Enel Distribuição Ceará won first prize in the Social Responsibility category of the Abradee Award (Brazilian Association of Electrical Energy Distributors, Associação Brasileira de Distribuidoras de Energia Elétrica), in its 19th edition.
- FIEC Award for Environmental Performance – July 2017
Enel Distribuição Ceará is the winning company, for the second consecutive time, of the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceara (Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Ceará – FIEC) Award for Environmental Performance in the large-scale category. In this 13th edition of the award, Enel was in the running with the Solidary Light and Enel Shares Efficiency projects.
- 5th Best Place to Work in Rio de Janeiro – August 2017
For the first time as an integrated company, Enel and Enel Green Power have received the Best Place to Work in Rio de Janeiro award, reaching fifth position in the Large-Scale Companies of Great Place to Work (GTPW). In the overall ranking, the company ranked among the 50 best to work for in Rio de Janeiro.
- Child-Friendly Company – August 2017
Enel Brasil was awarded the Child-Friendly Company seal by the Abrinq Foundation for the second year running. Projects such as Symphony of Tomorrow, Enel Shares Energy in School, Network of Good and Develop align with the purpose of the Child-Friendly Company Programme.
- As Melhores da Dinheiro, best company in the Brazilian electrical sector – September 2017
For the third year in a row, Enel ranked first in the energy sector at the As Melhores da Dinheiro Award, published by IstoÉ Dinheiro magazine and now in its 15th edition. The company was also recognised in the Corporate Governance and Human Resources categories, featuring in the top position. In addition, it appeared in the 67th place in the ranking of the thousand most relevant companies in the country.
- Golden Helmet Award - February 2016
Enel Distribuição Ceará was awarded for investing in safety practices at work. Offered by MSA – The Safety Company, the award aims to encourage professionals and companies to adopt actions in order to prevent accidents, including the wearing of industrial helmets.
- Abradee Award 2016 – Best Electrical Energy Distributor in Brazil – June 2016
Enel Distribuição Ceará was selected as the best energy distributor in Brazil for the sixth time by Abradee, the Brazilian Association of Electrical Energy Distributor. At the 18th edition of the Abradee Award, the company also won first place in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
- Valor Inovação Brasil Award – July 2016
Enel Distribuição Ceará was appointed as the best innovation company of the Brazilian electrical industry at the Valor Inovação Brasil Award, held by the Valor Econômico newspaper in a partnership with Strategy&. Enel Distribuição Rio ranked third in the category. At the overall ranking, Enel Distribuição Ceará held the 25th place while Enel Distribuição Rio held the 50th position.
- Best Place to Work Award – July 2016
Enel Green Power Brasil was elected the 10th Best Company to Work For in Rio de Janeiro, according to the Great Place to Work (GPTW) ranking. At state level, the company held its position among the 40 Best Companies for the second year in a row.
- Innovation Capacity – August 2016
Enel Brasil ranked 2nd in the energy sector at the Innovation Capacity category from Época Negócios 360º Annual Report. The overall ranking lists the best 300 companies in Brazil and showed the group in the 91st position. Published by Época Negócios magazine and Editora Globo, the report evaluates 27 industries.
- FIEC Award for Environmental Performance – September 2016
Enel Distribuição Ceará received the FIEC Award for Environmental Performance, which recognises initiatives and work done by companies to preserve the environment. The highlight of the award ceremony was the Conta Verde project, an initiative that helps customers to offset carbon emissions by exchanging solid waste and obtaining discounts on their eletricity bill.
- As Melhores da Dinheiro Award, by IstoÉ Dinheiro Magazine – September 2016
For the second year in a row, Enel Brasil ranked first in the energy sector at the As Melhores da Dinheiro Award, published by IstoÉ Dinheiro magazine. In addition to being a leader in the electrical industry, Enel was also recognised in the Corporate Social Responsibility, Financial Sustainability, Corporate Governance and Innovation and Quality categories and ranked second in Human Resources. The overall ranking across industries companies showed the Group in the 63rd position, while the ranking for 20 Largest Groups listed the company in fourth place.
- CIER 2016 Award – November 2016
On November 3rd, Enel Distribuição Ceará was awarded the Bronze Category in the energy sector by the Índice de Satisfação com a Qualidade Percebida (ISQP/ISCAL – Perceived Quality Satisfaction Index) at the 2016 CIER Award. The company also showed the strongest evolution in Corporate Social Responsibility, securing its second award in the same edition.
